Meeple Meet Up: Board Games

This September, our mission is to help you find people with whom to play games. Next Tuesday the 9th of September, starting at 7pm, come play board games and meet new people!

What is Meeple Meet Up?

Meeple Meet Up is for all kinds of people who want to have fun playing games, but specially for those who want to find likeminded folks to play games with.

Whether you love board games but have no one to play with, whether you have a group of friends but no board games, or whether you just want to meet new people and have fun: this is for you!

How do I sign up?

You can comment on the comment section of this page to let us know you’re coming and so that other people feel more inclined to join, but it’s not mandatory: you can decide to come on the day itself and just show up!

I can’t speak Portuguese, is that okay?

No worries, this event will be in English so that our English-speaking friends are included!

Can I go alone?

Yes! There will be someone from Quebra-Dados’ team who will help you find a table to join.

Can I bring my friends/family?

Yes! But if you come with a group,  please be open minded and be ready to let other people join your group.

I can only join a bit later, is that okay?

Absolutely! You can show up whenever you want between 7pm and 11pm.

But I don’t know any games…

That’s okay! There will be someone from Quebra-Dados’ team who will be available to explain the rules of the games.

How much is it?

In order to be at our venue and play, you need to be a member of Quebra-Dados Association. There are two options: the daily membership is 1,50€ and lasts for one day; the full membership is 12€ per year, however, as we are in the second half of 2025, you only need to pay 6€ to have a full membership until December 31st. Full members can come whenever they want without paying extra.

What kinds of games will be played?

Depends on who shows up! If you want easy and simple games, we have that; if you want strategy heavy games, we have that too! It will depend on the groups that are formed and what people want to play.

Will there be food?

We have a bar with snacks and drinks you can buy. It’s not allowed to bring food or drinks from outside unless it’s for health reasons (allergies, gluten intolerance, etc) – if that is the case, please let the staff know when you arrive. Check out our menu here: https://quebradados.com/menu-eng-2

Will these events continue throughout the rest of the year or only during September?

We don’t know yet, it depends on how popular they become and the availability of our team to organize them. We recommend that you make an effort to get socials/numbers of the people you meet so that you can schedule other game nights without a specific event. Quebra-Dados’ venue is open from Tuesday to Sunday, so you can get people together and come play boardgames almost any day of the week! 🙂
